Friday Fun # 7

Friday fun is a short post of something fun that happened in the week whether it be a small moment or an epic happening.

This week has been on the end of epic happenings end of the scale. You see my parents and one of my brothers have come out for a visit from Calgary. Well almost a visit. Mom and Caleb are here for the visiting end of the aspect and my dad is in Manitoba for the work end. He is hard pressed to make it anywhere and not work. One day we hope he may retire as it is high time. But not quit yet.

In the mean time we get to have visits sprinkled in amongst his work and for that we are thankful.

So on Monday we all got together for Breakfast and Supper. Yay for large family get togethers that involve food. It is uncommon to be together without some sort of food involved.
Even Jade wanted to get in on the action and take a part of Grampa with her. Love the contrast here in his rough worked hands and her new soft fingers.

It was another day of Watermelon and rollkuchen for Supper. Yes that is what I said. Supper.

Indiana asked his mom what we were having for supper and when she told him he looked at her quisicly and asked, ".....and what else?"

Just watermelon and Rollkuchen.
This is one meal that fulfills the sweet/salty craving of most people.

And another sister-in-law holding and loving up my daughter. This beauty has a way with babys that is akin to a baby whisperer. She has a love for them that she displays openly to them. Sometimes they don't always appreciate it as I do but that is beside the point.

They do catch on after a short moment. This is a good person to be with.

And again, the visiting. There is always much to visit about.

These are my mom and three of my four brothers. It is becoming a rare thing to have all five of us together at the same time in the same place. Miss you Gregg.

This weekend is going to be filled with family. So hang in there and have some visiting food fun. Enjoy the weekend as best you can. Even if it is short. Even if you are few. This is family and it is great.
